Tonight, the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros begin the 2019 World Series.
The teams took two very different routes to earn a spot in the Fall Classic. The Nationals swept the Cardinals in dominating fashion, never trailing throughout the entire series.
The Astros series with the Yankees was much more interesting, especially at the end.
In one of the most dramatic innings in postseason history, DJ Lemahieu tied it up in the top of the ninth with a two-run home run.
Then the Astros came up in the bottom of the frame with Yankees hard-throwing closer Aroldis Chapman on the mound. After retiring the first two batters, he walked George Springer and one of the best players in Astros history came to the plate, Jose Altuve. After getting the count to 2-1, Altuve tattooed a 83 MPH slider from Chapman over the left field fence, leading the Astros to the World Series.
Here’s a look at a look at a few sales from Altuve’s cards that he shares with other Astros legends:

2017 Topps Definitive Collection Dual Autograph Relics #DARCBA Jose Altuve/Craig Biggio Auto /35 – $100
Biggio played his entire career with the Astros from 1988 through 2007. Known primarily as a second baseman, Biggio is of the most versatile players to play the game. He played all over the field throughout his career starting off a catcher before being moved to second base in 1992 season to help preserve his legs from the rigors of catching. He won Gold Glove Awards at second base from 1994-97 and remained there until. In 2003, the Astros signed All-Star Jeff Kent and asked Biggio to move to the outfield. After Kent left in 2004, Biggio returned to second where he would stay until the end of his Hall of Fame career.
